MEET THE FOUNDERS
THE STORY
Before Lola James Harper...
We launched Lola James Harper in June 2013 at Colette, with a clear offering from day one: “scents, songs, photography & happenings.”
This included a photo exhibit, our photo books on display, 19 original candles accompanied by a CD of our original songs, and a concert at the Colette Water Bar during Vogue Fashion Night Out.
But in reality, this first showcase brought together 10 years of olfactory creations by Rami Mekdachi, who at the time co-created candles and perfumes for Hotel Costes, La Réserve Geneva, Colette, Roger Vivier, Ines de la Fressange, and the Chloé and See by Chloé candle lines, as well as the Lacoste candle activation and more than 15 other luxury and hospitality brands.
Rami was also a photographer for Rock & Folk, Oui FM Rock Radio, and had published in Rolling Stone Magazine and had already released several music albums with independent labels like Chronowax and PIAS.

A FAMILY AFFAIR
" Lola James Harper is rooted in a family tradition. The Mekdachi family, passionate about art and travel, has always been able to narrate their olfactory universe through a range of eau de toilette, home fragrances, scented candles, film and photography.
Each family member — Rami and Céline, their daughter Lili, and their son Noé — contributes to making Lola James Harper a unique brand. The eclecticism of Lola James Harper lies in the artistic diversity of the Mekdachi family: Lili captures photographic moments where time seems to stand still, while Noé asserts himself as a filmmaker.
The parents, for their part, create the olfactory notes to echo Lili and Noé's creations and oversee the production. "
