THE STORY
Before Lola James Harper...
A multidisciplinary artist and visionary entrepreneur, Rami Mekdachi was born in Beirut and grew up between Paris, England, and the United States.A musician, photographer, and filmmaker from an early age, he discovered the world of fragrance in the late 1990s and quickly revolutionized the industry by becoming the first to create fragrances dedicated to iconic places.
His journey began with the legendary Parisian concept store Colette and the iconic Hôtel Costes, followed by collaborations with prestigious venues such as La Réserve Genève, Hôtel Arts Barcelona, Château de Jacques Garcia, Roger Vivier, Chloé, Lacoste, and more.
In parallel, Rami pursued a prolific career as a photographer and filmmaker, working with iconic magazines like Rock & Folk and Rolling Stone, while composing and performing with various musical groups signed under labels such as Chronowax and Pias.

A FAMILY AFFAIR
Since the beginning, Rami has traveled the world with his wife Céline and their children, Lili and Noé, who are at the heart of this family-driven and artistic adventure. Together, they capture the essence of the places they visit through films, collections of images, and fragrances.
The Mekdachi family’s creative studio, located in the Batignolles neighborhood of Paris, is a unique artistic space spanning two floors, housing a photo studio, a fragrance atelier, a music recording studio, and a video editing suite. This space serves as a true archive of Rami’s work, where photography, music, olfactory compositions, and films intertwine—all created during their family travels.

THE PROJECT
In 2020, Rami Mekdachi felt the need to unify his many creations—fragrances, music, images, and films—into a holistic and poetic artistic project. This project, at the crossroads of multiple art forms, celebrates the beauty of places, the power of encounters, and the essence of journeys. From this vision emerged Lola James Harper, a hymn to unity and peace that transcends artistic boundaries to tell a universal story of creativity and humanity.
At the same time, Rami directed his first feature film, WITH, a work that shares his poetic vision of life.
Awarded for its music and direction, WITH is now available on Apple TV and Amazon Prime, showcasing his ability to capture the depth and intensity of human emotions.
Today, Rami Mekdachi continues, alongside Céline, Lili, and Noé, to capture and elevate the essence of places and moments, infusing each creation with a unique emotional and artistic depth.
